As residents of the rural village Turves in Cambridgeshire, we’ve had the privilege to witness the richness of our community. Yet, over the years, our public spaces and services have steadily disappeared, and our last standing public space, the historical pub "The Three Horseshoes " is being proposed for demolition for more houses.

The Three Horseshoes holds a rich history. It has been the pub of our village for over 200 years, and before that, it served as a blacksmiths. More than just another building, it is a symbol of our shared history and the center of our community.

Now, we have the chance to transform this closed pub into something more - a multifunctional hub that provides essential services, fosters social cohesion, and keeps our village’s history alive. A lack of public transport has made connectivity within our community challenging, but with the revamping of this last standing space we will once again have a chance to meet and interact.

Let’s resurrect this historical site not just as a symbol but as a vital part of our community. This is a call to all who hold Turves close to their hearts. Help us secure the future of our community by restoring The Three Horseshoes pub.
