Dear fellow residents of Insti,

You must have observed the diminishing number of trees in Insti over the past few days. Our campus, known as the 'Oasis in the City', is now facing a grave threat. Trees within our campus are being felled every passing day without proper planning in sight.

To highlight just a few of the many benefits of the trees in Insti:

• They help maintain temperatures that are 2-3 degrees cooler compared to areas outside the campus.
• They provide shelter to monkeys. If these trees are removed, we can expect a rise in monkey intrusions as they lose their habitats and sources of food.
• They offer a calming and relaxing environment during walks, cycle rides, and more.

It's high time we look beyond decision trees and make a firm decision to save our real trees, as the not so random forest around us continues to diminish at an alarming rate.
