i know sonic 4 has just started filming, i was gonna make this as soon as possible, i just heard that Kristen Bell has been casted as amy and frankley, im not sure if she'd be a good enough fit, not just because her voice won't suit the character, I really admire Kristen Bell’s work—she was fantastic in Frozen and Zootopia—so I don't doubt she’ll deliver a technically good performance. However, I’m not sure she’s the right fit for Amy Rose. not because her voice isn't in range, but I feel she might lack the specific, high-octane spirit that defines Amy, even though I'm sure she’ll do a capable job. Kristen Bell is a very talented voice actress, and I loved her in her previous roles. Regarding her casting as Amy, I personally feel that her voice energy might not quite match the 'bubbly-but-aggressive' spirit of the character. I have absolutely nothing against Kristen Bell, and she is a professional who will likely do a good job. My concern is less about her capability and more about the 'vibe'—I feel she might lack the particular, frantic energy that defines Amy Rose, in the same way, a brilliant actor might not fit a specific role. It’s purely an artistic preference for a different kind of energy. i would've perfered other actresses like Anna Kendrick, Kimiko Glen, Lisa Ortiz, Shannon Chan-Kent, Kat Dennings, Terra Strong, Anya Taylor-Joy, Karen Fukuhara, or even Awkwafina, of course ill still support the movie and won't boycott it or anything, i just would've perfered a different voice, hopfully its not to late in a last minute decision, again, I have absolutely nothing against Kristen Bell and actually admire her work in Frozen and Zootopia. I don't doubt she is a talented actress who will do a professional job. However, personally, I feel she lacks the specific kind of fiery, high-energy 'spirit' that defines Amy Rose. Similar to the sentiment of choosing the right actor for the right energy, I just don't feel her acting style matches the character’s personality, regardless of how well she performs the lines.
