On March 14, 2025, a significant act of betrayal was committed against the State of Nevada and its citizens. Senator Catherine Cortez-Masto, ignoring the will of the people she pledged to serve, cast a vote that sent shockwaves through the populace. By voting to remove cloture on H.R. 1968 in order to pass the Continuation Appropriations Act, Senator Cortez-Masto directly facilitated legislation that created unprecedented damage to not only Nevada, but the entire United States. Notably, our state's Veteran population was dealt a cruel blow. 

Actions, like the one Senator Cortez-Masto took on this historic day, represent an unforgivable dereliction of duty as a senator. It is a blatant disregard for her constituents and the platform she was elected on. Nevada has always been a proud state that is home to thousands of Veterans and millions of hard working Americans. We deserve representation that keeps US first, and protects our best interests.

In the face of such a betrayal, we must rally together and urge accountability. We have the obligation to return representation to the people of Nevada with a senator who will hold our interests at the heart of their service – a necessity under jeopardy with our current leadership.
