To the Government of the United Kingdom and the Ministry of Defence,

The United Kingdom faces increasing nuclear and cyber threats from adversaries like Russia, China, and North Korea. Yet our current nuclear and civil defense posture is dangerously outdated, underprepared, and one-dimensional.

We, the undersigned, demand immediate action:
⚠️ 1. Rebuild a Diversified Nuclear Deterrent
The UK currently relies solely on submarine-based nuclear missiles (Trident). We have no land-based ICBMs and no nuclear-capable bombers. This leaves our national deterrent vulnerable to a single point of failure.
Our enemies are diversifying their arsenals — so must we.

We urge the government to:

Re-establish land-based nuclear missile systems or long-range strategic bombers
Conduct a full review of our nuclear doctrine
Reinforce the UK’s deterrence credibility in line with today’s threats
📢 2. Restore the UK’s National Siren Warning System
The current Emergency Alert System (EAS) relies entirely on mobile networks and internet infrastructure — which would likely fail in the event of:

A cyber attack on communications networks
An electromagnetic pulse (EMP) strike
A nuclear detonation that wipes out digital systems
We demand the reinstatement of a nationwide air raid/civil defense siren system — an analog, resilient method of alerting the public to incoming danger, as Britain had during the Cold War. This is a basic survival tool in an age where threats move faster than politics.

 
If the UK is attacked, it will not be just an enemy's act — it will be a failure of our own government's preparation.

We ask Parliament and the Ministry of Defence to:

Rebuild nuclear readiness
Reinforce civilian defense infrastructure
Take national survival seriously again
