Comments/Questions to make on the survey:
Question 2 (Community Needs Assessment)

While Indoor Pools are listed as a higher priority than Outdoor Pools, this survey was completed PRIOR to the closure of Malvern Hills Pool. This survey excludes critical input from the community on the loss of the only outdoor pool in West Asheville. Consideration must be given for the loss of Malvern Hills Pool but it is intentionally excluded in the plan.

Question 3 (Draft Plan Vision, Themes and Goals)

The Vision outlines 'Maintaining' facilities the city has, yet the department clearly failed to maintain and upgrade Malvern Hills Pool. If the plan is to maintain what we have, is Malvern Hills Pools considered an existing facility and will renewal and maintenance of this now shuttered pool be prioritized as outlined here? 

Question 4 (Draft Priority Investment Zones)

It's frustrating that the area of Malvern Hills Pools is considered a lower priority when it is clear that the pool needs significant investment. It's also frustrating to see other city areas with many more facilities considered a higher priority. Is any consideration given to the fact that Malvern Hills Pool is the ONLY pool in West Asheville and that Malvern Hills Park is the only public facility in that census tract?
