Jones Park is being rebuilt as Candace Pickens Park October 2023!

We need your help - this will be a volunteer-built park October 4-8.

Before the build dates we need a few good people to help us organize. Here are a few of the positions we need to fill:

• Public Relations Coordinators - social media, print, radio, television to get the word out
• Volunteer Coordinators - organize volunteers and service groups
• Childcare Coordinators - supervision and activities for kids of parents during construction
• Food Coordinators - acquiring food from community partners for each day of the build
• Tools Coordinators - collecting, distributing, maintaining tools for the build
• Art & Special Features - working with other creatives to put an Asheville vibe into the playground

In March we will have a design similar to the former playground to present to the community and will start recruiting volunteers to help physically rebuild this playground.
