Asheville City School Board meets Thursday, June 30th to decide on allowing or not allowing Jones Park Playground to be rebuilt. This is a critical moment when the fate of the park will be decided. Please send an email of support asking ACS Board members to allow the park to be rebuilt with donated funds from the community. Here is a link to quickly email them all:

The current ACS Board members are the ones who authorized the destruction of the playground last fall and pledged to rebuild this when funds are available. The funds have been available since October. It is time for the Asheville City School Board members to honor their commitment to the community.

Asheville City Council members said at their June 14th meeting they need to hear formally from ACS that they will allow the park to be rebuilt before the city will discuss providing long-term maintenance.
