The post graduate medical exam titled 'NEET PG' for the year 2024 has been filled with hurdles in the form of logistics, exam dates, weather conditions and finally, test center allocation. 

On 31st July, 2024 the National Board of Examinations announced the cities for candidates appearing in the NEET PG examination scheduled to be held on 11th August, 2024. Much to their surprise, majority of students were allotted centres 300-1000kms away from their hometown and some even outside of the mandatory options they were made to select. 

For example: Kerala students have been displaced to Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan students have been displaced to Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh so on and so forth. The algorithm didn't even spare women who are currently pregnant and people with disabilities who have come forward and told that their centres too are 500-1000kms away. This has now become a nationwide problem. 

The official conducting bodies have not said a word since dropping this on the shoulders of these newly minted doctors. 

The students not only have to handle the examination stress, a different ball game of handling 19 subjects together but also the logistics - flight availabilities, exorbitant prices for transport and hotels beginning to hike up the prices. All of this is further complicated with the monsoon season being at its peak in India and most of the cities have been warned with a red alert.
