I am just one of many who migrated to Pune for work, but I, like others, struggle daily with the high cost of transportation. The overpriced auto services put a considerable dent in our wallets, making sustainable living burdensome. Sadly, the public transport options offered in the city are far from convenient. At present, Pune’s public transport system reaches only 35% of its population, and the city's metro system, still underdevelopment, falls far short of meeting the demands of our growing population (source: Urban Transport News).

The discontinuation of the Uber and Rapido Bikes services in Pune, two pivotal shared-transport options, has only amplified these issues. Their absence has left a void that the existing public transport infrastructure cannot fill.

We implore the local government and transport authorities to recognize the plight of Pune’s citizens and bring back these immensely beneficial services. By reactivating Uber and Rapido Bikes, we can resurrect efficient, affordable travel options for Pune's residents—especially those who have migrated here for work. This move will not only alleviate transport costs for individuals but also reduce overall congestion in our city by promoting shared transportation.
