The Issue

Every player who's been involved with the history of Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade would understand that the game's last state before shutdown had almost no comparison with the goals that the development team had established for the game. However, the product that was available happened to be the most engaging and entertaining Warhammer 40k product that the community had the pleasure of enjoying. For those of us who invested our hearts, time, and money, the sudden closure felt like a part of our world was taken away without warning or care.

With the people I knew who had played Eternal Crusade, we played the game religiously day in and day out. There was an iconic rivalry and companionship that could be founded between players across teams that lasted weeks, months, and years. If BEhavior would see the servers re-opened then I would that these affiliations would last for decades to come. There are no other games within the Warhammer 40k brand that are able to reflect the genre as well as this game could; despite the game not being able to reach the state that the development team wanted out of it.

The content that was given to us has no comparison to anything else. The game orchestrated a beauty of combat and war that reached the heart of thousands; so much so that a team of independent developers would see the game remade entirely just to relive the most basic experiences that the player-base misses so much. That love still exists within and without the game and the potential for a revived community has never been more volatile.

This petition exists as a community outreach to BEhavior; a final frontier for the devout community of Warhammer 40k to relive their greatest moments in a game that was made by, and for fans of the Warhammer 40k universe. We're not asking for new content. We're not asking for the reinstatement of a developer team. We're asking to be able to play the iconic player vs player matchmaking shooter that has kept many of us enthralled for years.

Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you all for your time and patience with this movement and I will live with hope in my heart that we will get a response from BEhavior to revive their greatest project.
