The children, parents and staff of Luminous have been blind-sided by building management with the placement of scaffolding surrounding the entire entrance and closing the play area for the children. Scaffolding was placed in May without any notice and without a construction date or activity.  

Closure of the play area for the learning center has negatively impacted the children’s mental and emotional well-being, while also hindering the development of social skills, motor skills and cognitive skills. 

Imagine yourself as a child after a long cold winter awaiting for warm weather to enjoy the outdoors, and now when spring has finally sprung and summer right around the corner, you are revoked recess and are stuck inside all day long. Please help us bring back the play area for our children.
