Dear Supporters,

First and foremost, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each one of the 11,670 individuals who have signed our petition. Your support has been the driving force behind our campaign, and it’s heartening to see such a strong community response.

As we move forward, our collective presence and participation are more crucial than ever. The city has planned two upcoming events that present an opportunity for us to demonstrate our unity and commitment to this cause. We need to show our strength in numbers and make our voices heard.

***These meetings are drop in style, you can go whenever is convenient for you during these times ***  Please Register at the meeting once you are there and demand answers.

Humber Summit Library Event ( Etobicoke)

Date: Thursday, November 23
Time: 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM
Location: 2990 Islington Avenue (Islington & Steeles)

Parkdale Library Event (Toronto)

Date: Monday, November 27
Time: 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM
Location: 1303 Queen Street West(Queen & Dufferin/Lansdowne)

While we recognize that these locations may be inconvenient for many, it’s important to remember that this could be by design. We must rise to the challenge and show that we will not remain idle. Your presence at these events is the first critical step among many in demonstrating our collective response to the city's plans.

These meetings are our chance to voice our concerns, ask questions, and engage directly with those responsible for the changes affecting our community. It’s our opportunity to make sure that the decision-makers see and hear the real impact of their actions.

We understand that not everyone may be able to attend and THEY ARE COUNTING ON THAT!! WE NEED YOU TO MAKE IT!!!.  Your presence will be incredibly powerful. Let’s stand together and show that we are a community that cares and is actively involved in shaping the future of our neighborhood.  Without anybody coming there will be no resistance to the problems we are facing.

Thank you once again for your unwavering support. Let’s continue to work together, showing that there truly is strength in numbers.

Here are some questions you can ask at the meeting plus any others you may have:

"Can you explain and share the methods used for collecting data on bike lane usage? How does the city ensure the accuracy and reliability of this data?

"How has the city assessed the impact of new bike lanes on traffic flow, emergency response times, and local businesses? Can you share these assessments with us?

"What steps were taken to consult with local residents and businesses before implementing the bike lanes? How were their concerns addressed in the final plan?"

"What specific safety measures are in place to protect both cyclists and motorists in the new bike lane areas? How are these measures evaluated for effectiveness?

"Has a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis been conducted for the bike lane project? Can the city provide details on this analysis?"

"Were alternative bike lane designs or routes considered? How were the final decisions made, and what factors were prioritized?"

"What are the environmental impacts from these bike lanes due to excessive congestion, and how are these being measured?"

"How does the implementation of bike lanes address the accessibility needs of all citizens, including those with disabilities?"

"What is the process for residents to provide feedback on the bike lanes after implementation, and how will the city address potential issues that arise?"

"What systems are in place for ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the bike lanes’ usage and impact? How will the public be informed about the results?"

Warm regards,

Cody MacRae
