We must make sure that any leisure centre in Kingston - be it The Kingfisher or a replacement centre - continues to be a place where people from across our communities and across the Borough can come and swim and play sport and enjoy recreational activities
The listing of The Kingfisher as an Asset of Community Value could be critical to its survival if we act together fast, as the council gave the listing little weight in recommending approval of their plans for a new centre which does not appear to have the interests of Kingston's communities at its heart
