Mr. Simon was showing the difference in views towards homosexuality between 1959 and current day. He was using a YouTube video to show how people thought in 1959 and show his students just how much the world has changed. Yet a couple students took it upon themselves to take this educational lesson out of context and complain to the administration. The administration then decided to make a rash and uncalled for decision to suspend a teacher, who is about to retire this very year, for fulfilling his duty in educating his students.
