129! That is Amazing!

Guys, you amaze me! Beyond the point that we broke 100 in under 24 hours, your comments have blown me away! A few brought a tear to my eye! Keep sharing these updates and talking it up to all of your friends and family. If you have multiple people living with you in your house, make sure that they are all signing! 129 is amazing, but we are still a bit away from the number that will really get the Coliseum to understand that their is a desire (dare I say NEED) for a competitive sports team, especially one that will make it as fun as this team will! We want to make this the public's team! This will be a team that is about the community. One of the coolest plans is to have an exhibition game where the police and fire departments from the area will play against the team with some of the proceeds going back to the Law and Fire departments. They deserve to have some fun and be reward for it. Another promo is to allow the community to vote on a favorite teacher from the area and through out the season they will be recognized. We understand the hard work and sacrifices that they make each and every day, and we want to reward them. At the end of the season, the teacher with the most votes will receive a prize of season tickets and other prizes! Along the lines of education, the team will be able to go into the schools and teach the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) of the game of hockey! This team will not only be great for the family fun that it would bring, but it will impact and improve every aspect of our community. We hope to reach out to the News and Radio media in the area very soon and help get the word out to even more people, but that doesn't mean we can stop sharing it to those around us! We also want to get a few folks together to perhaps go to a council meeting to share our stories of bringing children to Warthog games and why we so longingly wish we had hockey back!
