It is absolutely insane that a player like Raphinha is currently not the top contender for the Ballon D'or 24/25. He's the only consistent player I've seen this season with 64 G/A across all competitions,22 G/A in the Ucl itself matching Ronaldo's all time record without being the main penalty taker(yes with 2 extra games but not a single other player has done that even after playing the 2 additional games for the playoffs like PSG)he's won the Laliga POTS, and deserved the Ucl POTS(Thierry Henry himself said it) but UEFA forgot and thought it should be awarded based on hype and who won the ucl. Even Messi won it in 2019 without a Ucl so why cant Raphinha Players like Yamal and Dembele are good of course but they are hyped more than Raphinha cause of recency bias. The Ballon D'or is awarded for performances across the whole season not just the last two months. Dembele does not have any personal achievement (Im not talking about team trophies) PSG was literally beat by clubs like Arsenal, Atl Madrid and Bayern(who Raphinha scored a hattrick against). Dembele wasn't even a crucial player for PSG and Yamal has many more years for winning this award. Don't be biased and genuinely contemplate if the person you are hyping for this award truly deserves it.
