The 2nd Amendment of The Constitution of the United States of America states, "A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state,  the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."    

     Therefore, we the people, the citizens of Randolph County wish to solidify our 2nd Amendment rights to the state and federal governments by proclaiming Randolph County, Indiana a 2nd Amendment sanctuary. We hereby petition the Sheriff and Commissioners to publicly and officially announce this county as such and stand by its citizens and their constitutional rights. 

     Furthermore, we implore the Commissioners and Sheriff to neither recognize or enforce any future law that further infringes upon the 2nd Amendment rights of the citizens of Randolph County. Laws such as red flag confiscations, gun bans of any kind, "high capacity" magazine bans, or the enforcement of any other law that violates the 2nd Amendment in any way.
