This petition has contents that describes the suffering of Eelam Tamils in Refugee camps located in a city called Trichy in Tamil Nadu state India. The six-decade ethnic unrest has drove scores of Tamils from their home land to different parts of world a lot of places have accepted them but have few have made their lives a living hell one such being special camp which is in no way special for the Eelam Tamils.

 

This particular incident started with a group of 10 member stating their fast from 20.05.2022 to ascertain their civil rights, which includes their release from the special camp dubbed as a torture camp their fast has continued for the last week (7to 8 days) their physical health has deteriorated and 6 of them have been admitted to the hospital out of which 2 members have gone into a state of memory loss by the way this is not the first time that they have endured this pain.

 

The Tamil Nadu State government has turned a blind eye to their rightful pleas this has caused a mental agony to the 140 million Tamils living worldwide .We take this opportunity to present the deplorable state of our people to the International Community who have been severely oppressed by the fascist regime back home with cases like forced disappearance of nearly seventy thousand people they have escaped that land and have landed in India in a hope of leading a peaceful life unfortunately the current situation show that Tamils have jumped in from the burning fire to a boiling pan.

 

We take this opportunity to once again request the international community to consider the humanitarian crises that is looming in large and participate in the signatory campaign that is being organized by the Tamils worldwide to revoke the unlawful detention of Eelam Tamils in India your voluntary participation in humanitarian cause will expedite the Union Government of India and the Tamil Nadu State Government in releasing the innocent victims and in the process reuniting them with their loved ones. 

 

Beyond ethnicity this is a humanitarian crisis we welcome you to be a part of the campaign that amplifies the voice of voiceless.

Subject: Regarding the Inmates of special Camp in Tamil Nadu

 

This to bring to you to your Kind notice of the deplorable state of affairs of the Eelam Tamil inmates lodged in the Trichy Special Camp. These inmates nearly ten in number have been fasting since 20.05.2022 for their release from the special camps in the due process of fighting for their rights in a peaceful manner six of them have fallen ill and have been rushed to the hospital out of which two have become un conscious. You being highest representatives of Tamils worldwide we request you on behalf of all the Tamils to kindly intervene in this grave humanitarian crisis and rescue the already bruised and battered people from the clutches of death which is hounding them on both physical and mental fronts. Your timely help in these gravest hours of trouble will be greatly appreciated and remembered by the Tamil community worldwide. We hereby request you to kindly exercise the authority granted to you by the constitution of India. We will stand by you in all the endeavor’s you take in this regard. Hoping for a positive action from your side.
