Calling all Labcorp patients! Calling all Labcorp vampires! Calling all technicians everywhere! We need YOU to sign NOW to raise the wages at Labcorp worldwide. 

I currently make 18.79 as a phlebotomist in Seattle, WA. This is $0.10 above minimum wage. I am paid less than those that work in entry-level fast food, retail, etc. and have required certifications as well as experience in the field. I have been oft saddled with mandatory overtime due to understaffing. This is not okay, and it is due to the lack of compensation Labcorp gives their employees. 

Labcorp is one of the globe’s leading laboratories for patient diagnostic testing. They currently underpay their employees, leading to a recent petition formed by the union members of UFCW 3000 asking for safe staffing and livable wages for all. Not all of us are union members, and patients deserve a voice too! We all must stand for healthy wages and safe staffing.

Now is the time to act. Labcorp is understaffed, leading to delays in testing turnaround and a higher turnover rate as people are leaving for other companies. Labcorp needs to raise their wages to better support the folks who work with the bodily fluids! 

If things do not change, patient care and employee wellbeing will continue to decline. Please pay us a livable wage!

Similar jobs around my area go for between $20-30/hour. We are petitioning Adam Schechter of Labcorp (Laboratory Corporation of America) to raise their company’s minimum wage to at least $5 USD above the legal minimum wage, for all skilled technicians NOW worldwide! Laboratory technicians, phlebotomists, and more are desperately underpaid and understaffed around the globe and patients still rely on us to be paid and staffed appropriately Labcorp, pay us competitive wages! Staff us safely! WE DEMAND CHANGE!
