Raise Connecticut's minimum auto insurance requirements

The Issue

Each day, countless individuals fall victim to negligent drivers who don't carry sufficient insurance coverage to account for the injuries and damages they cause. In my daily life, I witness the profound suffering of these victims, who are left grappling with medical bills, lost wages, and the emotional trauma stemming from accidents they did not cause. The current minimum insurance requirements in Connecticut are simply inadequate, leaving many victims without the necessary resources to recover and rebuild their lives.

We propose raising the minimum insurance coverage for motor vehicles to $50,000 per person and $100,000 per accident. This crucial change would ensure that victims have access to the financial support they need to cover medical expenses, rehabilitation, and other costs associated with recovery. It will also provide peace of mind, knowing that the community is better protected against the possibility of underinsured, negligent drivers on the roads.

Statistics indicate that over 40% of drivers in some parts of the United States are underinsured. By raising the minimum coverage requirements, Connecticut can set a precedent for improved road safety and financial security, ensuring all families have the chance to fully recover from unfortunate accidents.

Let's make Connecticut a safer place to drive and uphold the rights of every victim of road negligence. Sign this petition to urge state lawmakers to update our outdated auto insurance requirements and safeguard the well-being of all Connecticut residents.  https://skiberlaw.com/
