Hi All,
Quick update about an opportunity to engage the government about PWD rates.
The Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction is holding consultations for the provincial Poverty Reduction Strategy. This is a chance to tell them about what it making it hard for you to climb out of poverty.
Having attended a few of the consultations, the issue of insufficient PWD rates is arguably the #1 topic. Ministry facilitators for these sessions have even commented on how meagre the rates are compared to what's needed to live comfortably.
If you want to give your input to the ministry, you can participate in the consultations, with a range of options offered.

All the best for now, and please keep getting the message out there!
