Great news: Ofsted will be meeting with the Health Conditions in School Alliance in the next few weeks to discuss our campaign! And the Alliance, who back us, are asking what we want to tell Ofsted. So let’s tell them why inspectors need to start checking if schools have policies to keep children with medical conditions safe. You can share your comments and experiences in just a minute using this online tool (the tool is provided by Diabetes UK but you can share thoughts and experiences on any medical condition). I know many of you signed because you had direct experience of poor care in care in school. Some of you because you were simply disgusted that children with medical conditions are having their lives put at unnecessary risk. Either way, what you say could really make a difference. The Alliance need to prove to Ofsted that thousands of people care about this, for lots of different reasons. So whether it is one page or one word, please share your experiences and views: with enough support, Ofsted and the government won’t be able to ignore us. Please share this opportunity with any friends or family who might be interested as well. This meeting shows we’re making real progress, and I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks so much for your support everyone. If we convince Ofsted and the government to do the right thing we could prevent thousands of children suffering, and even save lives.
