5 MONTHS… AND WE STILL WAITED, HOPED, AND PRAYED. 💔🕊️

5 months since we lost you, Olugbade Michael Oyedokun.

For days, we waited and hoped we would find you, bring you home, and give you the farewell you deserved. Sadly, we are yet to find your body.

The way your story ended was never what we imagined. It was never the goodbye we prayed for. Saying farewell without bringing you home is a pain words can hardly explain.

But, Michael, your story is bigger than the tragedy that took you away from us.

You were a husband, a father, an elder brother, and a beloved member of a family. You left behind children, a wife, younger ones, and loved ones whose lives will never be quite the same without you.

You mattered. Your life had meaning, and your memory deserves to be honoured.

Though we waited for the closure we desperately wanted, we cannot allow the absence of your body to mean the absence of a farewell. We have made the painful decision to hold a Commendation and Farewell Service in your honour—not because saying goodbye is easy, but because your life deserves to be celebrated and your name remembered.

5 months later, we are still grieving, still missing you, and still wishing things had ended differently.

Today, we choose to honour your life, remember your legacy, and commend you into the hands of the God who gave you to us.
