As part of a passion project, I have been researching in depth the alarming rates of human trafficking in Fayetteville, which is centered around Fort Liberty (formerly known as Fort Bragg). This area has become a hot spot for such heinous activities due to its large population and how close it is to major highways. According to recent reports from the National Human Trafficking Hotline, North Carolina ranks among the top ten states for human trafficking cases. We need immediate action to increase awareness and implement strong measures to protect vulnerable individuals in our community.
