At 3:45 p.m. PST today (April 15, 2015), we were notified that the historical artifacts and personal family treasures that were made in WW II American concentration camps, will be removed from the Rago auction on Friday, a company spokesman said in Lambertville, NJ. Actor and activist George Takei has agreed to act as an intermediary between the Rago auction house and Japanese American community institutions. This information was reported to us from Toshi and Nancy Abe, who were present at the event.
More to follow. Stay tuned, and keep encouraging others to sign the petition. It's not over, but thanks to your support of this petition, the fact that the items will no longer go "to the highest bidder" but will be preserved for future generations, is a HUGE accomplishments. Thank YOU for your support!
