Sending This Petition To Radish Fiction

Hi everyone,

I always said that once this petition reached 100 signatories, I would send it to Radish. I have just been informed that a reader has already spammed the live chat forum with copy and pasted words from this petition. Which is kind of ironic, because that is the main purpose of this petition, to stop the toxic behaviour on the app.  

Radish Fiction is first and foremost a reading app, not a social media platform. The comment sections should be kept to story related opinions and comments. Sadly, some seek to deliberately antagonise others, not keeping to the format of comments and live chat being used for story related conversations. And I am referring to readers from both fanbases, no matter which character they support. Everyone needs to be more mindful of how they treat one another, everyone’s opinion should be valid, as long as it is not a comment written purposely to fan the flames of animosity. If it is, do not respond, just report. That is the only way for Radish to act against them.

I have been told in recent days, some TBA fans have tentatively got back to reading again and Radish seem to be making more effort removing any comments that are deemed as harassment or hate speech. Although, there is progress being made, there are still individuals who will call out people in live chat, targeting them, harassing them and in some cases referring to their jobs and private life. This means that some readers are being cyberstalked out with the Radish app, this behaviour needs addressed before it becomes a legal matter. Radish has been told numerous times about the culprits and their Discord group, yet they are still on the app harassing other readers under fake names.

I would just like to reiterate; this petition was not to dictate the direction of the story. It was about the toxic behaviour in comment section and live chat forums. Where trolls could use numerous accounts to hide behind, choosing different people to target just to bully and write hateful things to. In many readers opinions, the comment sections should be removed completely to avoid this behaviour from happening at all. I tend to agree!

It was also about the story not being the same one that fans have been reading and investing time and money into for 4 years.  No one minds the different storylines, plot twists or added characters, if the main premise of the story remains intact. The story is called Torn Between Alphas, which was not even a focus for numerous parts, not even barely in the background of the story. A handful of readers using numerous accounts were trying to control the narrative and some TBA fans had just had enough. Many cancelled subscriptions, deleted their accounts and the Radish app. The outcome of that upset for some readers resulted in this petition.

I will forward this on to Radish and then it will be getting removed. If this petition gave even a few long-term readers a chance to get their view across then that is all that matters.

I do sincerely hope that many of you can enjoy reading TBA again in the future. Miz Panda’s story captured the hearts and minds of many readers around the world. I also hope Radish continue to keep to their word regarding investigating numerous accounts being used and acting quickly to stop toxic behaviour and cyberbullying amongst readers.

Thank you again to everyone for taking the time to read this and sign it. If nothing else, I hope it helps put a stop to online bullying, doxing and hate speech between readers. No one should endure that kind of behaviour while reading digital serialised fiction.
