You don’t see racism as blunt and as raw these days. Then comes Jesse Watters with his uneducated rants. I’m not sure why a major network will have such a character on their show. His demands were baseless. He did not bother to check for facts.

Yes, it is unfortunate that this outbreak is causing a lot of suffering and deaths. But spreading rumors and lies is not the way to resolve anything. Being on a nationally televised show to attack Chinese will wrongly influence the public to intensify that false sentiment.

Without understanding or checking facts, he spews nonsense about how the virus came about. He lies about Chinese being starved so they resort to eating raw bats and snakes. This sort of disgusting mentality is what perpetuates racism in America.

Yet, he has faced no repercussion. His colleagues on the show just laugh it off. And he won’t apologize, just like he didn’t on another segment where he clearly showed prejudice against Chinese.

Is this what you want our children to absorb? Please speak up against him and Fox News to issue an apology, fire Jesse Watters and revise its programs to no longer allow such content on their networks.
