It's become clear that Trump not only condones but emboldens and empowers white supremacy and Nazism to take unprecedented action in America, moves that actively silence, terrorize and harm people of color and Jews, not to mention the LGBT community and women. In essence, these values go against everything America stands for, yet the man currently running America has allowed them to flourish.

Christians know "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). This weekend in Charlottesville showed that this verse does not simply address a spiritual death but physical death as well.

Now is the time, more than ever before, for Christians to take a stand against the sins of white supremacy. Now is the time for Trump's Evangelical Advisory Board to listen to the calling of their faith and take steps to publicly denounce Trump, white supremacy, and Nazism. These faith leaders must step down from Trump's board. Anything less than that simply will not do. There is no excuse anymore.
