FOLKS - tonight we end a week of interesting news items, including that whistle blowers have come out to call on the removal of the Police Commissioner, of substantial racism at the Brisbane watch house, and all this after revelations during the inquiry of racist police, police who vilify people with a mental illness and other disabilities, as well as major problems of police handling domestic violence cases.
Just 6 short months ago, the Commissioner was busy denying there was a culture problem with in the ranks of QPS, now she is saying sorry that there is a problem! In other words, 6 months ago, there was either a total unawareness (when this should not occur), or there was an awareness and she was implicit in hiding the truth! One has to wonder why she had to be FORCED to attend after trying to make excuses.
