FOLKS - I am doing this update as I have waited until the extended Inquiry was over to see what the findings were.

You may remember, just 8-9 months ago, this Commissioner was busy denying there was a culture problem with in the ranks of QPS! On top of that, the actions of QPS - INCLUDING THE COMMISSIONER in response to that Facebook Police Group where almost 2,000 members were QPS employees - caught out making racist and homophobic comments, where only 6 Police Officers were 'Counselled' and NOT ONE was disciplined! THE COMMISSIONER WAS MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THESE OFFICERS COMMITTING DEFAMATION AGAINST SENIOR POLICE!!!!

Time will tell just how the proposed changes will go folks - at the moment the Commissioner is in damage control mode. One thing is certain though, the ONLY way to get real change to see the standards reflecting what the COMMUNITY expects is to have members from the COMMUNITY oversight QPS Complaints.

"WE HAVE FAILED VICTIMS" is the understatement of the decade!

Regarding this petition, we are very close to submission - we now have over 53,000 signatures and still actually going strongly.
