FOLKS - SOMETHING IS REALLY REALLY WRONG HERE - WHEN OUR MINISTER FOR POLICE BACKS UNPROVEN AND UNFOUNDED STATEMENTS MADE BY A POLICE UNION REPRESENTATIVE IN THE FACE OF VICTIMS OF POLICE INACTION AND INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR.

This is about as disgusting as it gets! Minister Ryan and the Police Union could do with an education. How about spending time with the real victims of a Police Culture ordinary Citizens have had to put up with for many many years.

An excellent example of what we are talking about here is the Facebook group of almost 2,000 Queensland Police Officers making racist, homophobic and inappropriate remarks - CLEARLY REFLECTING A MAJOR INDICATION THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE POLICE CULTURE IN QUEENSLAND! Where all the Police Commissioner was concerned about was 'defaming senior police'! 

MY GOD, things are truly much worse than before the Fitzgerald Inquiry all those years ago, when a Police Minister can blatantly bely the experience of ACTUAL VICTIMS OF POLICE CULTURE, where a Police Union is going at it making public statements denigrating a retired JUDGE, and with a Police Commissioner blatantly ignoring a SERIOUS CULTURE ISSUE with in the ranks!

I'll say it here. WE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH RACIST, HOMOPHOBIC, VIOLENT POLICE IN QUEENSLAND.

It needs to change, and it needs to CHANGE NOW.

Help us make this change possible folks. I will be promoting this petition HARD over the next few months to ensure that we get the numbers we need to make sure things WILL be accountable.

Our current situation is DISGUSTING beyond belief.
