FOLKS - the news story attached to this update needs absolutely no answers, but deserves LOTS OF QUESTIONS - AND APPROPRIATE ACTION!

How can this act of corruption, of turning off a body cam to avoid letting a 'fellow officer' off a traffic ticket deserve anything less than the SACK! Yet the 'Senior Constable' caught out is appealing the sanction of a simple demotion in QCAT.

HOW CAN the public have any confidence in a Police 'Service' where the silent blue line exists to avoid culpability by any Queensland Police Officer?

This culture is what needs to change. The only way to achieve this is to start weeding out those who engage in this behaviour - turning off a body cam to avoid gathering evidence would appear to fit the definition of an Attempt to Pervert the Course of Justice.

Just WHY are police officers never charged with more serious offences?

A good example was Neil Punchard - charged with a hacking offence when he released details of a domestic violence victim to his perpetrator mate - this grub should have been charged with Aid and Abet a breach of DV.

FOLKS WE NEED A CIVILIAN OVERSIGHT SYSTEM INTO QUEENSLAND POLICE TO SEND A CLEAR MESSAGE TO ALL POLICE THAT THIS BEHAVIOUR IS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
