EVERY TIME THE POLICE GET SUED - YOU PAY FOR IT!
FOLKS - an indesputable fact is that every time the Queensland Police 'Service' gets sued, YOU pay for it. Yep that's right, YOU THE TAX PAYER PAY FOR THE MISCONDUCT OF POLICE OFFICERS.
It certainly does not come out of the individual wrongdoer's pocket. The Government collects tax from YOU, and a percentage of that goes toward paying out victims who are brave enough to sue the police for their misconduct and criminal behaviour.
WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS? Well for a start there is absolutely NO incentive to change their behaviour.
We strongly believe that every police officer convicted of a crime, or behaviour that involves serious misconduct, should have to compensate their victims out of their own pockets.
When a citizen is convicted of a crime involving damage to property, assault, or stealing, they are most often ordered to pay restitution. SO WHY ARE THE RULES DIFFERENT FOR POLICE OFFICERS?
