WE DID A BRIEF SURVEY - AND THIS IS WHAT WE FOUND!
FOLKS - it is interesting to be able to compare notes about police complaints. We did a brief survey - which we will be following up on with a much larger online survey about people's experiences when they make complaints about police brutality or misconduct.
WHAT WE FOUND - well, out of all respondents we found around 50% of complaints made WITH EVIDENCE - no misconduct was 'substantiated' against the police. That number is just outrageous.
The only way to get true transparency and accountability folks is to have Police Complaints overseen by the very people they are meant to 'protect and serve'. YOU - Civilian oversight will force police to be accountable and shine a light on the corruption that actually exists.
