Think you have a right to compensation if you are wrongfully convicted? THINK AGAIN

IN AUSTRALIA, CITIZENS DO NOT HAVE AN AUTOMATIC RIGHT TO COMPENSATION OR A COMMON LAW RIGHT TO COMPENSATION IF THEY ARE SET UP FOR A CRIME THEY DID NOT DO!

Even worse, police who set someone up rarely are made accountable!

Think this is alarming - YES IT IS!

Australians do not have any enforceable human rights. Even the "Human Rights Act" enacted in Queensland recently has an OUT for the Government where it specifically states that individuals are not entitled to compensation under that legislation!

YEP PRETTY POOR HEY?

WE NEED A SYSTEM WHERE POLICE ARE ACTUALLY HELD ACCOUNTABLE - With Civilian Oversight that can both refer police for prosecution, and order compensation for victims of police misconduct and corruption.
