HOW CAN POLICE HELP VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE?

FOLKS - the Qld Police Commissioner has been talking up big on this issue lately.

YET NOTHING ABOUT WHAT IS BEING DONE ABOUT POLICE OFFICERS WHO COMMIT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE? WHY?

You see, while ever the spotlight is on a group that can be demonized in the public eye, attention is taken away from VIOLENT POLICE OFFICERS.

This trick is not new. If you take notice, police release media about criminals that earn the fear of the general public, thus creating a 'moral panic' that seeks to earn their trust that police 'ALWAYS DO THE RIGHT THING'. 

Make no mistake about it folks, the marketing and media department of police work overtime to instil a sense of fear in the public that helps them to avoid scrutiny when attention is drawn to rogue police officers who commit violence and other crimes. Have you noticed that stories about bad police fade away in light of the media releases that follow?

IT IS TIME FOR CIVILIAN OVERSIGHT TO ENSURE THE STANDARDS AMONG POLICE RANKS IS SCRUTINIZED TO THE STANDARD THE COMMUNITY EXPECTS OF THEM.
