VOTE FOR POLICE TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY FOLKS

Folks, the single most powerful thing that could happen to keep police honest - is fair dinkum public accountability.

The idea that this petition puts forward is simple, a committee of Civilians to overview the actions of police, and to publish their findings if they find something wrong.

Why is this essential? 

Well the Police are supposed to be there to serve the COMMUNITY - yep that's right you, every one of you. Same with politicians. In other words, the POLICE STANDARDS should meet that COMMUNITY STANDARD. Nothing less. In fact, Police Standards should be held at a much higher level, which is exactly what the COMMUNITY EXPECTS FROM THEM.

Currently they do not do this, and what is more, they keep this quiet as much as possible.
