

The Queens Post covered our petition calling on Queens Borough President Donovan Richards to keep John Choe on Community Board 7 Queens, arguing that the accusations lobbed against him by senior board members are unfair and unfounded. It has garnered more than 200 signatures since it was launched two weeks ago.
Choe’s fate will be determined by his fellow Community Board 7 Queens members Monday when they decide whether to expel him or not. The board, which represents Flushing, College Point and surrounding areas, is holding a special meeting in order to put it to a vote.
Community Board 7 Queens is targeting John Choe, executive director of the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce, for his opposition to the Special Flushing Waterfront District (SFWD) a massive luxury project where developers were caught paying "consultant fees" to Chuck Apelian, Land Use Chair and the First Vice Chair of CB7.
