Thanks for your support so far! The easiest and most effective thing you can do to help is forward this email, share the Facebook post on Facebook, or the pinned LinkedIn post version if you use LinkedIn.
I've contacted DNRME minister Anthony Lynham, just in case he isn't already aware of the petition. He's been contacted before about the issue. I filled out the form at his website, as well as sent it directly to his email addresses - so spam should not be an excuse for not receiving it. His response times (2 - 4 weeks) are appalling. We won't bother Dale Last at this stage, he's willing to do the right thing but can't as Labor are currently in government.
Meanwhile in Moranbah...
I'm sure I've read similar reports in recentish times! The DNRME seem to be doing a really poor job and need a shakeup! I had a cracker of a comment on LinkedIn: "The double standards from the DNRME in Queensland are beyond a joke, no hydrocarbon refrigerants but hit most mine sites and you find 2 ton lpg storage vessels and 45kg bottles being used for bbq's on site and sitting in welding bays, not covered to stop sparks from cutting and grinding operations from hitting them. Maybe they should clean up there own backyards first."
I've copied my message to Anthony so you can read it below:

Hey Anthony,
I'm not sure if you or anyone else at the DNRME are aware of a petition / campaign I'm running in regards to having the ban on hydrocarbon refrigerants lifted in QLD. I'm just bringing it to your attention if you haven't seen it already.

The DNRME can't even maintain mine and gas safety! I'm sure I've heard similar stories in recentish times!

See what others are saying about the ban:
I encourage you to check out my petition and information pages, and note the comments and reactions of the general public. Considering the Australian Standards and products sold elsewhere in Australia, they are not impressed!
Your action is required!
Myself and others in the air conditioning industry have concluded that it is a political issue related to the Labor government. This is your last opportunity to resolve this, your prompt reply and action is required. Two weeks for a reply is considered too long, considering previous communication efforts. We'll take this issue to the state elections if need be.
I prefer email so that I can keep records of correspondence.
I'll send this same message to you via both of your email addresses, so you can't miss it.
Regards,
Andrew Gardiner
