So much has changed in the last 24 hours. Peter Dutton is no longer the Minister for Immigration.

But one thing stays the same. Priya, Nades and their two Australian-born girls, Kopika and Tharunicaa, are still locked up.

And we know that if Border Force tries to force this family from Australia a third time, they will need pilots and crew to do their dirty work.

So I have a huge favour to ask: If you own Qantas shares, can you join an urgent shareholder action by signing up at accr.org.au/memberships/shareholder-sign-up today?

And if you don’t own any shares, can you please pass this e-mail on to someone who might?

This Friday, our friends at the Australasian Centre for Corporate Responsibility (ACCR) plan to co-file a shareholder resolution calling on Qantas to stop deportations to danger. They urgently need to find 100 shareholders to join them. You can learn more about the resolution here.

When we started our petition calling on Qantas and other airlines to fly this beautiful family home to Biloela and not to danger, I never imagined that over 100 prominent Australians would call on airlines to refuse to force people like Priya, Nades, Kopika and Tharunicaa from Australia to danger.

But that’s exactly what has happened. And today, with your help, 100 Qantas shareholders could make a positive change that is so much bigger than all the seat-swapping going on in Canberra.

Remember - to be part of the shareholder action, you need to add your name by midday on Thursday.

Thank you for all of your support,

Angela
