Britain's Prince Andrew has resigned from all public duties in disgrace, following allegations of sex crimes, and an ongoing association with someone convicted for it. His name has been removed as patron of several organizations in this country. A Nova Scotia school named for him is looking at a change. Yet Ottawa says Andrew's personal "Canadian" flag (photo) still takes precedence ahead of our national flag. That, itself, is a disgrace, and it's one we can fix.

If Prince Andrew deserves a personal Canadian flag (we think he does not), it should NEVER take precedence ahead of the Maple Leaf, as current rules insist. The same policy puts the flags of ALL royals in Britain ahead of Canada's.

This is yet another reason to sign this petition, and to *share* it with friends on your social networks, after you have. Let's give our flag a Christmas present this year: first place in its own country at all times.
