The Issue
In the wake of the second fatal accident in the past 8 months, we urge that speed bumps are placed on East Main Street in Newark, Delaware. In such a populated area, it is imperative that pedestrian safety is prioritized. With the presence of college students, locals, and families on a street filled with restaurants and attractions, there is no excuse for drivers to be able to speed and risk one’s life.
