Dear EBRPSS Supporters,
There are several EBRP School Board meetings this week. Each covers some aspect of the budget for the upcoming school year. Currently, there are no supporting documents with the agendas. Some financial data is available under the agendas of previous meetings. All meetings will be held at the School Board Office on S. Foster Drive.
There is a public forum on Wednesday, July 13, from 4:30 until 6:30PM. We can all meet at Zippys (3155 Perkins 70808) afterwards to eat dinner and discuss. Look for people who are wearing Friends of Public Ed stickers.
On Thursday, July 14, a public hearing starts the mega-meet at 5PM. This hearing will be followed by two more meetings before the Committee of the Whole. Feel free to attend in blocks of time throughout the evening if you are unable to stay the entire time. I have asked several school board members if we can have food trucks in the parking lot during the meeting.
Meetings are live streamed and should also include posting of public comments as we demanded.
A lot of advocacy can take place now. Please email your school board member and others with your concerns about the budget.
