Dear EBRPSS Stakeholder,
WE are thankful that 65 of you and members of local groups protested at Thursday's School Board meeting. Others also attended and commented during the seven hour meeting which covered topics such as the Social Media Policy (postponed vote until July) and the Comprehensive Staffing Model (This starts at the one hour mark if you watch the YouTube video.). Our petition was denied in favor of letting Narcisse explain his decisions via the presentation on the CSM. He ofter repeats that he is "student-centered," "for ALL children," or "putting students first" in his decisions. Obviously, we are advocating for all children. Our students need faculty more than a superintendent. We would rather search for a new superintendent and cabinet than replace any one of our faculty, who are obviously in the profession for children.
If you have a question about a faculty member or position at your school, please contact your school principal and add your school board member to the email. The link below lists some of the 141 faculty vacancies but some locations are vague. Hold your School Board member accountable for every job lost.
Please continue to circulate the "Release Narcisse" petition. June 2 will be the Committee of the Whole meeting and June 16 will be the school board meeting. We hope to have a social on a Thursday afternoon at City Park for all our members and signees. Details are coming.
Rest up for the marathon.
