Put and Keep Dylan Thornton Behind Bars

Put and Keep Dylan Thornton Behind Bars
The Issue
UPDATE: There are many rumors circulating that Dylan has been released and is home. I don't know if this is true, but if it is, I really really hope his pets were removed from his home before his return. While mommy probably posted bail, there will still be court dates and this is ongoing. This is not over. At the end of the day, I truly believe that if you can abuse animals and live with yourself perfectly fine after you are a total sociopath and need to be removed from the public. Once he gets on his phone and sees everything that has been said about him, he will be quite upset and may try to get revenge. Please, if you were/are involved with this individual I ask that you take caution and remember that these actions are true signs of serial killer behavior.
On Saturday, November 18th, 2023, 20 year old Dylan Thornton of Warren, Maine tried to get in contact with his recent ex-girlfriend. After failing to make contact, he sent her a video of him smashing her cat into the ground in a flexible cat carrier until the cat stopped making noise. in the video, Thornton repetitively beats the kitten into his floor and the kitten can be heard crying. The video goes on for about thirty seconds and the whole time he is torturing the cat that him and his ex girlfriend had rescued. The night of the incident, many people reported to Knox county police about the Warren resident on Finntown road abusing an animal. Police received the videos of the cat being killed and Thornton playing with the dead body, and they also received a photo with Thornton holding the lifeless cat where you can see that the abuse endured was enough to smash and remove the cats teeth. When picked up on Saturday, Thornton was brought for a psych eval and is now in a psychiatric facility. There is no current plan (to my knowledge) for when he gets out of the facility, but I personally believe with my whole heart that he deserves to be put behind bars and kept there. if he is willing to kill a cat to get back at his ex, what else could he be capable of? Many of his friends and family members were truly shocked to find out that the boy they all thought was such a sweet mama's boy was capable of such horrendous things. In order to keep everyone safe, justice must be served. He has been charged with a class D crime of cruelty to animals. In the state of Maine, the most he will get is up to 364 days incarceration and a $2,000 fine. This is a man who has taken the life of a cat simply because he can do it out of spite. Once he's out, it could be his ex or anyone who called him in. He needs to be taken care of before this goes any farther.
