Animal euthanization is a medical process for animals in a bad condition of health beyond saving which is done by killing the animal. the problem caused by animal euthanization is that in a lot of animals that get euthanization are in a normal and healthy state but were killed to make more space in animal shelters. It is estimated that 56% percent of dogs and 71 percent of cats that enter animal shelters end up getting euthanized when not adopted in enough time, some animal shelters are now implementing a rule to never euthanize normal and healthy animals, but a lot of shelters still use animal euthanization to this day just to have more space for other animals.
