As initially mentioned last week, the proposed changes from Dr. Pekel will have an impact on ALL RPS students. See your new boundaries below, should they change:

While neither the public, nor the board members, have seen what each of Dr. Pekel's 10 point changes cost, they can still vote to put this on hold, as we have heard they have a lot of questions too.
The hypothetical remains... if the redistricting results in Washington being full of "walkers", will they turn them down to keep current Washington students there and with their friends? Therefore bussing the walkers somewhere else? Seems they will give preference to the neighborhood kids and displace DWO students (and this may be ok with you, and that is fine). The point being that the costs saved are not worth displacing and affecting ALL RPS students.
I hope our community can ask the hard questions and pass those on to the board.
