Public service commissions in different states conduct exams for different departments and positions. The exam fee charged by them is very affordable. The range is between ₹100-800 but in Punjab it is ₹3000. If we take example of Himachal, Haryana and Uttarakhand who have approximately same population and area as of Punjab the fees charged by them is far less than that is charged by Punjab. PPSC should give reason for such high amount being charged from the students. Students are not able to pay such high amount. It is not affordable at all for students. PPSC should give reason for this and if they do not have any then reduce this ASAP.
