LED Headlights may be legal in Southwest Florida, but this does not mean that they are not dangerous if not used properly.

Some Cape Coral drivers with LED headlights have been driving with their brights on and blinding other drivers on the road with little regard to other's safety. 

It is the law to turn your bright lights off when approaching within 500 feet of an oncoming vehicle or when approaching within 300 feet of another vehicle from the rear, yet there are many drivers who lack to acknowledge this law, causing dangerous incidents for residents of our town. 

This petition is to raise awareness to Cape Coral residents to please be mindful to other drivers when driving at night, as well as to the Cape Coral Police Department, who need to ensure that these laws are held in order for the safety of other people.
